How I spent my Golden Week 2016.

Japan celebrates a lot of events every year during the last week of April till the first week of May.

The firs event is on April 29 which is the birthday of Emperor Showa who passed away in 1989. But now, it is celebrated as the ‘appreciation of nature’ of greenery day. There were some kind of festival below the building where we live and people made mochis, yakisoba and soup to sell.

On May 3 is the Constitution Memorial Day, May 4 is citizen’s holiday and on May 5 is the Children’s Day.

Other than that, we celebrated my parent’s 19th wedding anniversary on May 3 and my aunt’s 49th birthday on May 2. Can you just imagine we celebrated a lot of events this week? How about you guys, what was the most memorable event, so far, that happened in your life in 2016?
